Collector coins

Collector coins are masterpieces of coinage technique and art. Like the circulation currency, in Romania they are issued, by the National Bank and are usually made of precious metals: gold or silver.
Dedicated to famous people, places and events of historical, sociological, sciencentific or artistic importance, they  always show outstanding aesthetics and special processing, in which attention is paid to every technological step.

The particularly aesthetical appearance of proof coins is a result of the matt relief opposed to the glossy background. This effect is obtained by means of special techniques. In order to preserve the original quality of  the surface, proof coins are placed in transparent capsules. They are usually presented in special boxes, made of leather, plastic or wood, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, testifying for the specifications and precious metal content.
